BIO/STORY

Heidi started her journey in dance as many little kids do, watching others dance on T.V. & in the movies, all the while saying, “I want to do that one day!” She danced everywhere and with everyone she could in her beautiful small town and then one day, one of her teachers, Sue Rice, took her to “Dance Caravan” where she met her mentors, Darryl & Linda Retter. Right before this convention, Heidi had gone through some hard times & almost quit dancing altogether, but thankfully, Sue & her mom asked her to please just go to this one last thing. Her life changed forever In Linda’s class. Heidi was introduced to what she wanted to do with the rest of her life.. she wanted to share her love & passion for dance with others. Period. She didn’t really know what that meant, but she knew she HAD to do it. It would be many years down the road until they realized that one of those dancers that Heidi used to watch on T.V. was none other than Linda Bernabei Retter. Life’s kind of cool like that!

After a year of intense training & performance experience at S.U.U.(home to the World-Renowned Utah Shakespearean Festival), she made the leap of faith to Los Angeles. Upon arrival, Heidi received a scholarship to two of the top dance studios in L.A. It was through Debbie Reynolds Dance Studio that Heidi was hired to choreograph for the T.V. series, “The Power Rangers.” Her Scholarship at RAD led to her being discovered by Producer Patty Gary

Cox who brought Heidi in as a choreographer for several sitcoms on The Disney Channel, and Nickelodeon, most notably, “Cory in the House”, “So Random” & “The Thundermans.”

Along this journey, Heidi enjoyed a long performance career. She danced in and

choreographed shows for Universal Studios, The House of Blues, Legends in Concert, The MGM Grand, The Greek Theatre, Premier Cruise Lines and the Iconic Hollywood Bowl.

Heidi loves working with singers and focuses on helping them find their own “groove.” Bob Cavallo, former head of Hollywood Records once told her that not since Paula (Abdul) had he seen a choreographer work so well with artists. She took that as a sign she was headed in the right direction and kept going!

Heidi has choreographed videos & live stage shows for Ashley Argota,(True Jackson, VP/The Fosters) CoCo Jones, (Disney Channel) The 3G’s, (Hollywood Records), Mykel, LCM, and many more. Heidi Currently resides in Los Angeles, CA with her husband, Brandon Jarrett, and their 3 wonderful children, where she continues living the dream that brought her here so many years ago.
